@WillProtoss You can use any drawing devices such as pens or pencils. The version of contour drawing in this video most likely comes from Kimon Nicolaides book, 'The Natural Way to Draw', read that to get more details, ot watch other contour drawing videos online. It is a means to an end, not a process to make a final, "good" drawing. Essentually the idea to draw the contours of something or someone, while not looking at the paper, and imagine the pencil is actualyl touching the subject.
