Consider this: this band attracts many fans through their great videos, many of whom would have otherwise lived out their entire lives without hearing a single Jobim song. I, for one, have been familiarizing myself with the original classics throughout my own YouTube bossanova odyssey.

Furthermore, nobody is claiming that these renditions are superior to the originals. The only "presumption" here is your allegation of arrogance toward passionate and open-minded musicians.

Water flows in MANY rhythms. I like how Bossa Saravah varies the rhythm. I'm hardly unbiased, but I've listened to several versions of this beautiful song tonight, enjoying them all, but this one is still my favorite -- it's also the one that introduced the song to me. The only time I've heard it better was when I heard these same musicians play it live.
