Love to hear it without the music. Is there a website where we could see the install and how/if the LS intrudes into the cabin? I have a Renegade 350SBC conversion and love it!

while the LS is a fabulous engine Im not real fond of the v8/914 conversions.Wouldnt your subaru engines be more practical and lighter?
And yes that this porsche is beautiful. really the best ive seen simple,practical. almost a sleeper.

I remember Renegade Hybrids from way back seeing that yellow 914 with the body kit at Pomona Fairgrounds. I even came to the shop and got a ride in it and still talk about it today! Glad to see you guys are still here making the already great 914 into phenomenal sports cars!

We have been doing the Subie kits for many years now, and it works great. Weight savings is only about 130 lbs. over the LS V8, and the fuel economy of the V8 is actually about the same as the WRX if you can keep your foot out of it. With just a little more weight, you get a ton more torque with the V8. Most like the Chevy over the Subie but we sell lots of both kits for 914's.

Thanks for the great comments! We actually have that very car here in the shop for a complete overhall including paint and interior. Wanna' go for a ride again? Haha!!! With the new LS cars, wonderful AC and heat, and the even newer addition of the Boxter S, 6 speed, transaxles installed in 914's, we have truly made this little retro two-seater very practical as a daily driver!!!

This car has the 914 transaxle with some changes. What we do is block off first gear...it's to low a ratio and to weak. Then we install a billet intermediate plate for strength. Finally, we install taller gears in the final three positions. Essentially you have a very nice tall 4 speed that will handle the 300HP without a problem. This guy has been on the track a ton since we delivered it. Thanks for asking!!!
