Detroit on a good day. A look at Detroit while its still sort of there. These are the better days. First image is of Tigers Stadium, then the Michigan Central Station. Closed in 1987, the train station at its prime employed more than 3,000 people in this building.
I really wish they would do something with this beautiful building <3 i feel if maybe, we do something with it, it could kinda raise Detroit's hopes and get us back on track

Why did they build it so huge? I read that the top floor was never even finished.

It has a strange beauty in its present sad state. Maybe Detroit's future lies in it becoming a showcase for all that can go wrong, serving as a sort of museum of the dead, a model of warning.

@lhsowdal It is dead already. The only thing that might save it is buildings like this being turned into land marks. Tourists come money flows but unfortunatly they cant seem to find a mayor worth a shit.

You can restore the train station. But I don't think turning it into a business will work because NO ONE in their right mind would want to go to Detroit. Poor City lost it's Industry. It's dying or dead already. A complete overhaul wouldn't fix Detroit.

What did a rail station do with all that space? Was it a hotel upstairs?
Anyway I hear it can be had for 80 grand obo
But then what do you do.
