It seems to me that Apolo was most likely telling him to go go go, as he's like a mentor to JR. Why would they cheat in the B Final? That makes no sense whatsoever. The real question is why Apolo wasn't moved up when he should have been.

alright at the end u see JR smile at Ohno & then Ohno pats him on the shoulder when he walks off so they knew wat they were doing they just didn't care for some reason. JR was probably happy b/c his idol helped him out & let him win

watch ohnos right hand from 7:04-709...i think thats the "push" they were talking about. but i still agree that it was a bs dq because i dont really think he could've gained much speed at all from that small "push"

that's rather gay is it not? yeah life ain't fair, but it's a competition designed to fairly test a competitor's skills, that's why you can't just grab your opponent by the nuts and score first place. so how was it apolo's fault for being tackled off the course?
