when i took it out it says time and date may be wrong, then it went back to the same screen for password. I have a dell latitude E5400

Just so you know, taking the cmos batt. out won't work on all computers.

@Lazikazi1 the bios battery is under the keyboard get the battery out first and then
use a screw but push the lcd untill its flat > the rest ill try to make a vid!
i took it out for a min or so and when i turned it on it still asked me for the pass..what would happen if u took out the c mos batt and left it out??

you have to take it out and leave it out for about 5 min.
make sure you're power supply is int getting any electricity from the outlet...
If you take it out and leave it out then you're date and time will be sacrificed.

Hey mate i have a Dell inspiron 1501 lap top and i don't know if that works on it.I really don't know is the batery on the same place or.Nice vid btw xD

Hey bud, well Iv worked with many dells and most of the time the c mos battery is under the laptop...I'm not positive though... You could just check on Google or call dell... It will take about 5 mints...Thanks!
