basically, a penguin ask its mom, am I a penguin?

Then the Mom says, yes, you are a real penguin.

Then the penguin asks its grandfather, am I a penguin?

The grandfather says, yes, you are a genuine penguin.

This goes on for a while, until the penguin explains why he's asking this, he said because he feels really cold, but penguin is not supposed to feel cold. It's an example of a "cold" joke, which in Taiwan means a joke that's funny in an unfunny way. Hope this helps.
