OHP says before the home video was recording, the paramedic assaulted the state trooper.

Witness Diana Walkup says the paramedic never touched anyone until the patrolman grabbed his arm.

UNDATED - There are more details about a confrontation earlier this week between an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and a paramedic in Okfuskee County. The incident was caught on tape as the trooper accuses the ambulance driver of not pulling over when the patrol car was trying pass him. What does the law say about who has the right of way?

It was Sunday along Highway 62 in Paden. Kenyada Davis is behind the cell phone camera. His mother was being transported by Muscogee Creek Nation EMS to a hospital in Prague.

In a statement obtained by The News On 6, paramedic Maurice White said the patrol car came within three feet of the ambulance with its lights on, eventually passing while telling the driver over the emergency radio: "You should consider checking you rearview mirrors."

did you not listen to the video. he was reasonably resisting an unreasonable arrest, using minimal force. like the officers are supposed to use.....you really dont see an anger issue here? if you think the way that officer is handling this situation is correct then you have the same mental issues he does. a man in his position should not be so violent.

If it bothered him that much then he shouldve used proper CoC and reported it later. Stopping the Medic Like that was A) putting the patient at risk. B) VERY un-professional amonst peers. and C) made the Township/District look very bad to the people its serving. This Officer has to realize that when your running ER things happen or dont always go according to procedure but you dont get all road raged over it. Learn some anger management.

Also I would like to note that the call he was responded to showed other officers already on scene wich tells me since he wasnt a first responder he really didnt need to be driving so aggressively. Police, Fire, and Medic's priorities are always to the public we protect. Even if the Medic driver did respond incorrectly (I seen nothing in the dash cam that warrants such aggression) its still something the Officer should've brushed off and continued with duties at hand.

Being a volunteer firefighter, I can say right away that the officer was way out of line in this incident. First off he was driving aggresively to get around the ambulance and being very unprofessional by making that comment over comms that are publicly monitored. Clearly unsafe driving while running ER,

@eddieo64 Yes because when u give in to police with power trips they will stop abusing there power. It is normal procedure for an ambulance not to use his lights and sirens with certain conditions as it can make a patients condition worsen. And the ambulance did pull to the side for the officer. It was already decided the trooper was in the wrong and he was punished for it so anyone defending should stop smoking dope. Hes been proven as the wrongful one.
