@insanecaine It basically sews from the underside of the fabric, and locks in the thread that's sewing on top.

Thanks for the video! It would have been nice if you used a dark colored thread because it's kinda hard to see it against the white sewing machine.

-w- oooo, thanks. i managed to load the bobbin and load the small metal piece at the bottom, what I couldn't figure out was how was the bobbin thread going to come up? needle catches it v.v thank you much!

What is a bobbin for? What exactly does it do? Sorry for such a simpleton question, but I'm a beginner.

OMG!!!! I don't know what I would have done without this tutorial. My stupid machine either came with no manual or I lost it (bought it on sale for every cheap cause the box was open), and since then bobbin winding has been a chore. With your help I just winded 6 bobbins in no time at all. <3
