Griff, the moaning mudi, harasses his big sister! Did you know that mudi's could moan like this! In all seriousness though, this is a very interesting example of a complex canine interaction. There is very specific conversation that these two are having throughout this interaction. I have my hypotheses, anyone else have any ideas about what is being communicated here?

  • 00:28 the dog smiles at his moaning brother

  • Where did you get your Mudi?

  • you've got beautiful beautiful beautiful Mudi! ♥

  • Jazz does the EXACT same thing!!! Same noises EVERYTHING! Hilarious! Poor Griff!

  • Haha, very cute! Makes me want to get a Mudi!

This sounds like my Border Collie, Ryddick.

  • I always think it is funny when they say certain breeds have certain noises. Griff's noises sound so similar to what my dogs do and others I know. I am sure it is true there are breed specific noises, but honestly I have yet to hear one that is TOTALLY breed specific.

This communication seems pretty simple. Griff - "I want that chewie!!!" and he will be as appeasing and annoying as possible and at some point perhaps she will give it up. I have seen dogs do that.
