Nice Version

Disagree...he band may have had a better performance when making the music but playing live was still good
-
I saw them last weekend and I love this version. they performed it at the worldwide festival in sete and it was amazing. love it
-
you know, i heard this version first and i like it better.
but i love the words either way.

id like to disagree, this song is beautiful and excellent in its own right and outright surprised me when i saw them. theyre all about improv and doing things a little differently every time, after all, its a jazz band.
-
you know, i saw them live in chicago and was pretty bummed that patrick wasn't there to faithfully perform the album version. after all, i had taken friends unfamiliar with TCO. however, the band really seemed to embrace this version. and i appreciated it too. i think this interpretation works, just not quite as well as the band's.

damn...he ruined it. Its perfect with Patrick Watson.

hahaha, well... I agree that the Patrick Watson version is MUCH better... but "ruined it?" I dunno... I'd say it's just a different take on it. When headline bands tour, they often bring up or incorporate the opening acts into the show. I'm sure this was just done for shits and giggles.
