I remember this show! I was just a little tyke. Feels like it's been 100 years.  I'm 38 now and they still creep me out. Most of those puppets scared the be-jesus out of me as a kid. What kid can learn anything when he's crying from terror? Off topic: does anybody rememer a kids' cartoon about talking toothbrushes & hairbrushes living in a bathtub and sink? I remember watching it as a kid but can't remember what it was called. Was it a segment on Captain Kangaroo?

@jc83cooper I learned to read before I was two due to this show. I could read fifth grade level in Kindergarten. Due to having two nephews I raise I see what's on tv now, and there's nearly no educational value whatsoever, even if the productions cost more. Appearances aren't everything.

Did anyone notice that three of the letters in The Catching Game were a different color? Spelling the word TAG.
