The comic book is an undisputable classic, but this movie managed to become one of my favorites. Ever. And I've seen many a film in my day. I knew a lot of people that disliked it, were confused by it, were bored by it, or thought it was too over-the-top in violence/sex. All I can say to such people is that they should take another look. Everything in this movie is there for a reason and it all connects. Even the Jimi Hendrix song fits, with lyrics directly pertaining to the story.
