Jana gaṇa mana adhināyaka jaya he
Bhārata bhāgya bidhātā
Pañjāba Sindhu Gujarāṭa Marāṭhā
Drāviḍa Utkala Baṅga
Bindhya Himācala Yamunā Gaṅgā
Ucchala jaladhi taraṅga
Taba śubha nāme jāge
Taba śubha āśiṣa māge
Gāhe taba jaya gāthā
Jana gaṇa maṅgala dāyaka jaya he
Bhārata bhāgya bidhāta
Jaya he jaya he jaya he
Jaya jaya jaya jaya he!

Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindhu,
Gujarat and Maratha,
Of the Dravida and Orissa and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
mingles in the music of Jamuna and Ganges and is
chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.
They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise.
The saving of all people waits in thy hand,
Thou dispenser of India's destiny.
Victory, victory, victory to thee.

  • when ever em hearing to our National anthem i get goosebumps its such a soulfull creation of TAGOR ji . i jst love it proud to be an Indian

  • @23rdprime it was first sung at a Congress convention... It was first sung at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress on 27 December 1911

  • @23rdprime Please read the history correctly before commenting in a public site, which is viewed accross world. Tagore had personally clarified this unwanted misconception...it was never written for Brits. Please don't defame the anthem...enjoy the superb flavour of the anthem...ons of the best of the world

  • @vinsisthebest1 Bhai plz listen to its english translation again ...It was written for the praise of British viceroy .... It was sung first time in front of him ...

  • @23rdprime : anything that makes us united against the traiting forces that want to divide us, is good for us my brother! :)

and btw.. where did you hear the glory for the british in the whole song?

  • @sanatanadharma2002 It was sung for the praise of Britishers ... How can it be good for us ?

  • @23rdprime It is like a prayer

  • I hate this anthem .... We should change it ....

  • Shabaash! Kya Gana. JAI HIND!! Bharat mata ki jai!
