  • @MsWanderer1 Right, right right. The mind is the summation of what the brain does, in the constant dynamic process of recalculation.

  • Mind is a funtion of the universe, its pervasive. Self-awareness is rarer, general abstraction, is rare, but subjectivity is not a human-exclusive feature. as far as the more purely metaphysical/epistemological side of the "mind/body" question, i recomend tien-tai and hua-yen philosophy.

  • the mind is unique to everyone, it's what makes us human, he is right.

  • Mind is simply the name tag given to the processes of the brain. The mind is NOT an entity unto itself! Mr. Sacks is right; it's a DUMB questions.
