"Not that Knot" was created as an entry for the "Save A Friend Work safe Teen safety Video Contest" and on Tuesday march 10'th 2009 was awarded "First Place"
as part of the prize this video will be shown in these Oregon theaters during the following periods of time

between June 5th and June 11th it will be shown before every movie at these theaters
"Centruy 16 Eastport"
"Clackamas Town Center"
"Lancaster Cinemas"

between June 12th and June 18th it will be shown before every movie at the theaters directly bellow
"Clackams Town Center"
"Cinemark 17"
"Tinseltown"

between June 19th and June 25th it will be shown before every movie at these last two theaters
"Cedar Hill Crossing 16"
"Century 16 Eastport"

it should be noted that this version is slightly better then the one that was actually submitted to the "Teen Safety Video Contest" due to the fact that the deadline to submit the film was rapidly approaching and having a one man post production crew we had to submit a less than complete version.
this version is different from the one submitted in the following areas it has the addition of music and a few green screen keying errors were fixed.

some one will often ask me what software i used to create the video thus i will answer that question now, i used mostly open source software for the creation of this film. i used make human to model the digital duplicate of izzy. IE the guy in the green sweater. and i used blender to model clothing for him and animate him falling off of the building. i used gimp to do some keying modifications and to extend the ropes in some wide shots.

Credits for the creation of this film goes to
Dane Vandewiele
who starred as one of the two characters, he was also the director/CG effects man/Film editor/music composer
and of course credit should also go to
Israel Kamerman
who starred as the other character (the one in the green sweater who comes to a rather unfortunate fate) he can also be credited for being his own stunt man and coming up with the idea for the film in the first place.

and the special effects of the falling was great! There were several angles where it really appeared like he was falling from the skyscraper! Keep up the good work! Your videos are great
