wow this fails so much... you are not onto their system, you have just set up a telnet connection to that ip/hostname through the port. you are not in their computer -.- to get into it you have to do something a lot more complicated
you cant "hack" or do anything doing this noob

If someone is looking up how to use Telnet for hacking, they should probably already know how to open up command prompt and have knowledge of networking. Also you shouldnt call a Command Line "stuff". It makes you sound like a noob....

@paulnathanielsmith if its any bit a good website it would b hard to hack, weather you're trying a DoS or ftp it, my knowledge is more of local windows machiens and some networking

sorry for multicommenting but he was right about prot 80 being an open one
and all that stuff in my other comments needs you to log in a user after you created a telnet session

It is very simple, look up on google "free port scanner" and there will be many software downloads. Choose one, and then type in the ip address of the port scanner and it will show you open and closed.

25 and 80 are the ports I usually use. But I recommend you use any ports from 1 to 4000. If you want to find an active port on the other machine, you can find a port scanner online and that will search for open ports.
