@Cornerforward lets say O'Gara's kicking percentages were 5% less, how many games would we have won?? Look at Sexton's kicking statistics...IT IS A VITAL PART of the job of your fly half. Games have been won and lost by the difference of a kick of the ball, and he has won more for us than he has lost. I don't for a second believe he is the best player on the team, there are many world class players, Wallace, BOD, RK, POC, DOC, JH, SOB etc. ROG is one of a group of world class players. ADMIT IT

I fear his defense is every bit as bad and worse.... as it is made out to be. He just does not defend. He has had his day and successes and I wish him well. I just wish Ireland had a more adapt no 10 over the past 10 years.

ROG only had right to no.10 because he was and is still so good it wasn't has fault that everyone else was crap until now,with out him irish rugby would be nowhere as near as good as it is now.Yes Johnny sexton is a good player but who is better under pressure? ROG is ,and in a tough match the person who will win you the game is the one who is good under pressure , ROG is also unreal at drop goals , and even though he is small he always put 110% into his tackles i think he is better then sexton

BTW O'Gara's defence is nowhere near as bad as made out to be and to be fair he does have more to his game than kicking. Sexton is still the way forward though.

This is coming from an Ulsterman do there isn't any bias here but I do believe that Sexton is the better player. As good as O'Gara's kicking is (especially from hand) Sexton is a more complete player and his kicking is also very, very good for Leinster but for some reason it hasn't quite happened for Ireland. It's not nerves, his best performances even have been in HC finals.
