  • I wonder why I haven't heard anything about this in the "liberal media"

  • I fail to see how that would be effective. Being forced to watch Dave Barton at gunpoint would not magically cause his transparent, easily disprovable lies to become true.

  • David Barton is not the one who is lying, the atheists are.

  • @BraunBrothers I know you've resolved this dispute with Boudiga already, but you try and speak with some degree of intellectual and moral authority so I have to ask - what exactly about his response encouraged you to assume that his answers were ripped from Dawkins and Hitchens? I detected nothing of the sort - he was speaking pure truth. Where's your beef?

  • @BraunBrothers Same here! Its nice to talk to you. I'll send you a friend request!

  • @Boudiga Glad we could come to an understanding. Good talking to you

  • @BraunBrothers Hey do you know whats really awesome? That you were cool enough to admit a mistake. That really is. It says a lot about character and is not a sign of weakness but strength. I understand the confusion. Its totally cool. I don't have an issue with religion, I only have an issue when the religious either lie about history, science, facts, etc... and will often try to change laws to suit religious needs. Thats really the core of my issue. Other than that, believe what you want.

  • @Boudiga Well I will gladly take your word for it then. But in my defense, it seemed as though you DID comment on religion/philosophy... blah blah blah (look at my above post).

  • @BraunBrothers No I commented on lies said atheist. Not the same. I didn't talk about a religion except that Hilter was catholic. When listening to Dawkins not so much Hitchens, I often listen and read his biological research and education. Not the topic of religion. Hence your comment doesn't apply by my answer. BTW I've studied several religions not just the bible. I also made a point to study up on hebrew culture. So yet again, you merely assume rather than ask.

  • @Boudiga You commented on religion/philosophy. Then I implied that you've been reading/watching a little too much Hitchens/Dawkins. Then your reply implied that you had indeed been listening/reading their material (when we were on the topic of "religion"). You can say whatever you want -- or make any disclaimer -- but is sure sounds like you're lying. But maybe you're not...

Also, reading the whole Bible isn't exactly doing research or reading scholarly material by professors today.

  • @BraunBrothers 1. I read Dawkins on biology and rarely do I read or watch Hichens. 2. I study on my own about religion, I read the whole bible. 3. I'm not an atheist. Just not a christian.

Unlike Barton, I go by facts, not by what I want the facts to be. If I sound like Dawkins and or Hitchens its because we found the same information and came to similar conclusions. So try again.
