this song was given too the remaining beatles in 94 by yoko for them to finish it off but george harrison didn"t feel comfortable doing it given the nature of johns death so in 98 yoko gave it to former beatles producer george martin who then added a orchestra effect to it this is that version

Tunz909 and shittowel After Yesterday McCartney was paniced when Lennon composed great melodies! We all know what Lennon thought about McCartney´s behaviour about Across the Universe and Strawberry Fields. It all ended with the split.
I am always sceptical to McCartney´s statements, they are always clever PR for himself. I suspect that McCartney was afraid that "Grow Old With Me" was too good, too good Melody
