"Alva was the best Almaviva? " Have you heard all of the notes he OMITS in the fioratura because he cannot do them? Also he doesn't even ATTEMPT the now too often cut section at the end of Ecco Ridente. Have you heard his Cenerentola recording? In the aria his C's aren't good at all, and that's a recording, imagine live. I love Alva and he WAS a great Almaviva, but for singing the role AS WRITTEN with perfect fioratura and high notes, please don't insult JDF and EP like that.

Este señor es de lejos el mejor intérprete de la actualidad. En el debate de si Alva fue el mejor Almaviva no me meto, lo único que diré es que esa opinión la han defendido ardorosamente entendidos con nombre propio y no con seudónimos. Qué fácil es decir tal o cual no sabe cantar o no tiene agudos, sin firmar aquellos disparates. El que no sepa quiénes fueron Alva y Palacio o no saben quién es Flórez, podría leer un poco y sacarse el cerumen que no lo deja oír bien sus grandes voces.

Eccellente agilità e bellissime le fioriture aggiunte anche in altre sue esecuzioni di questa difficilissima aria rossiniana, che sono delle variazioni alla partitura così come scritta. Dimostrano chiaramente il talento del cantante peruviano.
