  • ஒரு நன்கு தேர்ச்சி அடைந்த வித்வானின் கச்சேரியை கேட்ட திருப்தி மனத்தில் லயிக்கிறது.

    "மணியன்"

  • One has to have a pretty mighty opinion of oneself to even dare to presume to correct musicians of the stature of OS Thyagarajan (or Ramnad Krishnan for that matter).

Next they will say MD Ramanathan sounds like castor oil, Madurai Mani sang with "ooi's and aauuu's", and that GN Balasubramaniam slipped with his shruthi bhedas.

When you gain the proper stature and position (which is a polite way of saying NEVER!), then you may comment adversely on these giants.

    Till then hold your peace.

  • He has good ideas, but one can see the unfortunate consequence of the fascination with closed-mouth singing (see at 2:35 and 6:30, for example). It is too bad a person with as good ideas as Ramnad Krishnan started this trend, now popular among today's "stars".

  • Why do you say that so anally? You can correct politely. I'm sure he wasn't 'corrupting.'

  • OST is a great singer in carnatic music Kamboji Raga !! Enjoyed. Thanks

    Ramamoorthy Pondy

  • To the most arrogant annisha1975, its also spelt Kambhoji. Are you going to say that thats wrong aswell?

  • Please use correct names for the ragas. Do not corrupt them. It is "Kambodhi" and not Kampothi.

  • OST's is quintessential carnatic music. His Kambodhi is always full of verve.

  • Great alapana. He's not just a virtuoso but he's passionate and devotional as well.

  • elaborate kampothi, thanks, Muthukumaraswamy
