This is a Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.0 - 10.6.4 installation demo on an ASUS P7P55D PC using iBoot and MultiBeast 2.1.0.

It will take you through the steps to install 10.6, combo update 10.6.4, and patch the install with MultiBeast on my PC.

This guide may also work for anyone that owns any of the ASUS P55 series motherboards.

I only have experience installing OS X on my PC with the following hardware:

ASUS P7P55D bios version 1408
Core i5-750 Lynnfield
EVGA 8800GTS
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
COOLER MASTER HAF 932
CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2
Audigy 2 Platinum Pro
Logitech MX518
Apple Wired Keyboard with Numeric Pad
Apple Magic Mouse

Visit http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/ for more info, help, and guides for installing OSX on other P55 series motherboards!

  • @MiJaEllis No, you need the purchase the retail client upgrade disc; either 10.6 or 10.6.3.

  • @FreedomFighterReturn Won't work, sorry.

  • @FreedomFighterReturn You won't find HPET in bios because it's passive. If you extract a DSDT of your system, you will see it there.

  • @FreedomFighterReturn Will not work with a MacBook OS X install disc as it is designed specifically for your MacBook. You would need to purchase the 10.6 or 10.6.3 OS X Snow Leopard client install disc.

  • @TigeRecorz You need to go buy a retail copy of OS X Snow Leopard. For iboot go visit tonymacx86.
