Every year, the San Giuseppe Santa Croce Camerina Society in Hawthorne, New Jersey celebrated the feast of Saint Joseph (March 19) with a grand Saint Joseph's Table (La Tavola di San Giuseppe). They process the statue of San Giuseppe through the streets of Hawthorne on their way to mass. Upon returning from mass, the Society prepares a pasta dinner for well over 200 guests. While the guests eat, the contents of the Table (la Tavola) are auctioned off with the proceeds going to charity. In this video, Gaetano Milazzo talk about his devotion to San Giuseppe. He also introduces us to the woman that make the dinner served at La Tavola a huge success. The San Giuseppe Santa Croce Camerina Society began in America. It was organized by Sicilian immigrants from a small town in the province of Ragusa called Santa Croce Camerina. The town, which is located on the southeast coast of Sicily, has an unceasing love and devotion to San Giuseppe (Saint Joseph). Here in America, this devotion can be seen in the works of this great society.
