I like the song in the background too. It saddens me that tv ads these days are not nearly as good as they used to be... and what happens to the jingles? Have hipsters really succeeded in putting into the minds of the general population that jingles are supposedly "cheesy?"

That was awesome, Mr. Meyers!!!

Funnily enough, this is more like modern commercials in that it's really just a random cool situation which is vaguely implied to be somehow related to the product. That said, it's still an awesome, All-American feel-good ad. COCA-COLA!

LOL absolutely absurd.
This is my favorite Coke ad to date. I really like how "Burt" and the waitress face each other in disbelief, how the customers react to the boy's work with cheers and applause, how Burt hugs the boy and coiffs him with his hat, how the customers toast the boy with their Coke cups, and even how Burt smiles and points to boy as if to say, "That's my boy!"

This was my first National Commercial it was filmed right outside of New York City in 1984 at a diner. It was nominated for a Cleo Award and came in second place. My name is T.j. Meyers and I played the truck driver at the counter who yelled yahoo after the kid flipped the pancakes then toasted with a Coke at the end. Sure would like a copy of this. Is that possible I wonder?
