Set to the highly popular music of the Dave Matthews Band, this new work created by David Parsons is hot. "In the End" treats the audience to eighteen visually stimulating minutes of high-energy, fast-paced, full-throttle dance that leaves the audiences (and the dancers) breathless. Short bursts of amazing pas de deux interludes punctuate the longer ensemble sections, which are comprised of a mix of stunning solos, duets, and small groups. The intricate combinations of lifts, jumps, turns, and floor work create flurries of formation changes, achieving kaleidoscopic effects. Parsons has produced a dynamic piece brimming with intensity, theatricality, and athleticism. "In the End" is a true testament to the creativity of Parsons' choreography and to the virtuosity of the Company's dancers.
