Maureen (Moe) Tucker - Hey Mersh! -2/5/89

In May of 1989,future members of The Shangs,David Byers and Ed O'Neill attended and filmed a performance of Maureen (Moe) Tucker in Toronto,Canada,touring in conjuction with her GREAT second solo LP,"Life In Exile After Abducation",before an adoring crowd of several hundred fans.David Byers(ex Simply Saucer) belongs to that elite group of (outsider) music aficionados who saw the Velvet Underground during their halcyon days(1966-69) and both the band and Maureen ( and Andy Warhol) are deep rooted influences on The Shangs.We're pleased to present excerpts of this exciting and historic gig.Please visit The Shangs at their Myspace page:myspace.com/officialshangs and website:www.theshangs.ca
