  • It's her legal duty to explain everything to the patient, regardless of what the patient says. As long as she's completed her duty, then the patient has the right to refuse and leave.

  • I'm not a doctor..yet! I'm in nursing school and doing some pre-med, so I'm hopeful. In the case of that patient,Bong should have explained the seriousness of her suspsions, and that it's an emergency, and the consequences of not treating it as an emergency. The patient is obviously in a hurry so he doesn't care, and Bong shouldn't have backed down so easily. It's her duty as the doctor to make sure her patient understands his condition.

  • @SSASMSKSR it is true they do i am in med school

  • @SSASMSKSR this serious kinda remind me of ER .. weird thing they were shoutin too

  • Are doctors supposed to shout that loud at their students every minute? Or its only in Korea cause I did'nt see such a thing in American or European medical serials.

  • i must learn on her

  • dr.ahn is really harsh on bong dal hee not like the other dr. guy who grasp the situation better.

  • wow, dr. ang is a basterd to her! and to think he falls in love with her. ugh, men are jerks..

  • Bong tried so hard asking him to do a check or more and he rejected her. She mentioned about heart which the patient scold her for suspecting him with heart disease...with his ego saying that he completed a marathon and with endoscopy checks done...he was sure that he was alright and acted like a barbarian in the hospital..if he doesn't care about his own health...why should even Bong bother to help to explain about her suspicious when the patient don't believe her and will scold her in the end?

  • I agree with you that unneccessary intervention may do more harm than the disease itself. However, if she suspected MI, regardless of the percentage, it's still a very fatal disease that could take just a few seconds to kill a person...she should have made sure her patient knew how serious the condition was before giving up. The patient has the right to be educated, as well as the right to refuse treatment. All this has to be documented to avoid legal issues!
