(December 2009)
This is my final project for my online film course. The assignment was to reveal a character's motives and personality through the way they made breakfast. And one more thing: it had to be handheld. AHHH!
I had about three, four weeks to do the project, but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to portray my character. I ended up finding out only a few days before the deadline. I had to scrounge for locations, music, and props. And let me tell you: getting actors on such short notice is really hard!
After about an hour of shooting (without a tripod, I might add), I came up with all the video I had, and put it together within a day. I have to say that while I didn't spend a good amount of time on it like I was supposed to, it was my favorite project. I also think it was one of my best. Hooray for being spontaneous!
Thank you to Rachel and Michaela who pulled this film through. You both worked really hard and gave it your all!
Didn't really make sense to you? Here's the storyline: Main character (ALAN, girl in pajamas) has been living in the house for about five months. When she moved in, she realized the place was haunted, and now, five months later, she's gotten used to the GHOST and her shenanigans. The GHOST will not be disheartened, and tries (and fails) to scare ALAN. After a while, the ghost gives up, seeing ALAN as a "lost cause." Then ALAN does the unthinkable: makes a friendly gesture.
