Sixteen year old Paul Hamm competes at the 1999 U.S. World Team trials. This is the earliest network coverage of him that I know of. Even back then he was awesome!
Wow...Thanks for uploading this I never got to see it originally. Its amazing that he is so young there. I find it really funny that in all the old footage of him they always say he is the future of USA gymnastics and that he had a bright future, they never realized how right they were.
I know! I think Tim Daggett put it best when he said at 2000 Olympic Trials that Paul could become one of the greats of all time. I wish there was more early footage of these guys. I'd love to see Morgan's routines from when he won '99 junior nationals. It's amazing how much he's improved over the years. I'm sad to see him retire.
