Circus Red and His Freckles - KNXT Hollywood, 1957

Billy "Holly" Hollingsworth as Circus Red and His Freckles! This March 11, 1957 appearance was their 2nd on TV, their first being on Bill's Captain Jet show. Red Rowe was the host of KNXT-CBS' Panorama Pacific for a number of years. The band name was later change to The Dixie Small Fry at the behest of Sy Waronker at Liberty Records. Circus Red also appeared on the Ray Bolger show in New York in 1957, as well as Lawrence Welk, Danny Thomas, Dinah Shore, and their own Sunday night Tv show on KTLA channel 5 in Los Angeles.
