Owesome, I was on the connie's last 2 deployments with VS-38, we had 2 man-overboard prior to the last deployment, I was one of them, got this video from your old ready room onboard the connie. Stay up.

The Connie was replaced in 03. The F-14 was replaced in 06. I was Sailor in the flight deck crew on the Connie and a Marine grunt in the Vietnam war. I now stay at Nellis AFB and love watching the new F-22 fly.

E5, The Connie is also gone since 03. I was both a Combat Marine Grunt and I was a Avaition Boatswain's Mate on the Connie. Hey, I loved the F-4 and the 14 but thank G-d for the F-22 Raptor. I stay at Nellis and watch this savior of the free world fly.

I served aboard the Connie, and worked with VF-2 never a better squadron. Too bad the Connie was Decommissioned. She was a good ship.

Nice Vid. I was with VMFA-323 during Connie's last cruise. Even as a Marine, it's sad to see such an awesome weapon be retired. RIP Tomcat!!!
