Brian Haw died today, after protesting outside the British Parliament for a decade. He was persecuted by successive governments who found his expression of free speech an uncomfortable irritation. I think he's an inspiration, and this is a scene from my film Taking Liberties which pays tribute to him. RIP Brian.

I always had a lot of respect for Brian and was sad to hear he had passed away. I hope the last decade of his life served as an inspiration to many Londoners.

A true hero who campaigned tirelessly for the innocent victims of slaughter in iraq and afghanistan. Rest in peace brian.

Huge respect to Brian. He was unique and a vital part of the national protest against war.
