Mayor Bloomberg speaks about SKHOV

At one of our recent Legislative Breakfasts honoring community leaders who have earned recognition in the field of autism, our New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg gives his own recommendation for Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices, "Shema Kolainu serves our young people in a most profound way... children coming from every borough, every background, every community. Autism doesn't discriminate and neither does this terrific organization. They serve everybody and should be congratulated. They are a role model for how we should all conduct ourselves. If children can't learn the way we teach, we should teach them the way they learn; under Joshua Weinstein's leadership Shema Kolainu puts that into practice every single day helping students with autism reach their highest potential. Just as important, they provide comprehensive services for parents and families who must cope with the difficult and sometimes exhausting responsibility of raising a child with autism."
