After following Stringer around town, McNulty goes into Bell's photocopying shop where Stringer gives him an interesting offer, which he later reports to Prez and Freamon. (Season 3, Episode 5 "Straight and True")

  • Damn! This show is addicting as nicotine through clips on YouTube. I can never seem to get through the real thing on my hard drive as I find it slow and dull. Maybe, it's just the first season.

  • god i hate pres. but lester, string, and mcnulty are the shit

  • @BigGravyTheClown

    contrapment

  • @1TtidnaB I don't know if I'd call Stringer Bell a "low life" or "small time." He was a criminal mastermind who had Baltimore wrapped around his finger at several points throughout the series. I'm actually kind of shocked Mcnulty ended up getting him in the end...not soon enough, of course, but still.

  • @duedfromtheblock nah McNulty couldn't have...it would have been entrapment

  • I'm just getting into the Wire (watched 7 episodes so far) and I can't fucking believe that these two are Britiish? I think that they're two of the most watchable guys in the whole thing as well. Go En-ger-land.

    Fuck

  • im interested in the loft apartments that stringer was talking about..

I mean i would make a deal with the nigga, rather than trying to catch the man.. You know what im saying?

  • love it

  • Yes, they were like brothers and were very close friends, but as time moves on sometimes people just grow apart from each other. The legitimate business was mostly Stringer's real estate deals. When Avon got out, Stringer even told him that they were making so much legitimate money that they didn't even need to worry about selling drugs anymore. Yes, Davis did screw over Stringer, but I'm sure he would've landed on his feet had he not been killed.

  • @catch22punk They're like brothers and they're partners, if your brother were to get locked up wouldn't you visit him? What legitimate business are you talking about? String tried to but he got played hard by Davis, shieeeeeeeet
