they weren't beating him, they were hitting him with compliance strikes until he stopped resisting. the cops don't know if he has a gun, if he is running because he just murdered someone, etc.... everyone is so quick to judge the cops when 99% of the time the police act according to rule and procedure!

A national disgrace... After 911 I thought the New York cops were heroes....This is absolutley disgusting, shameful misuse of authority, abuse on his human rights. who can lay still or stand still where their being beat to death, can't you hear how this man is hollering? He is in real pain. This is a natural action for the human body. He reacting to pain, he is not resisting arrest. If he were resisting arrest he would try to get up and run. He's not trying to get up, he's rolling around in pain. If these cops can move around him and hit him with their clubs then they can move around him and place cuffs on him.

Esoteric, I think you should take a little trip to Williamson County Texas where they REALLY don't discriminate about whose rights they violate in relation to an arrest and when you find yourself in a jail cell with a hardened criminal because you jaywalked and you end up being violated physically by the cops and your cellmate/rapist, then you won't be so quick to assume that the so called deserved the treatment he got.

Just because someone is not "completely still" does not mean they are resisting arrest. Police are taught at the academy how to arrest a person by simply twisting their arm back and up and if a cop can't do that, especially if there is more than one of them and there is only one suspect then they need-what we call in the Army-retraining in their area of deficiency or they need to fired!
