I don't care how fake that shit with the spider was...that was one of the most epic man-vs-beast battles ever. You could see the nod to Tolkien at the end where the spider's rearing over him and he stabs up into its underbelly.

...the last 2 minute words were better than any president could ever say!! These words about the cosmos, sank into my brain long ago, like 40 years ago, & remain to this day as clear as i heard them yesterday! what a great movie!!!
