@cacaw8 It could work that way as long as you can feed the dbx line level for input, sure. :) JC

@austin1o5 The input is looking for line level so I'm not sure if you could plug a guitar straight into it. This unit is more for the full mix. :) JC

Hey there JC.
Do you think this kind of comp/lim device would work in my studio where I have just a few mics and an audio interface/pre-amp (XLR/TRS input combined, with 48 pantom power) going into my computer? Because sometimes I like to record a relatively hot signal but cannot control the gain if a peak shoots through.

@DuskY1991 Sure, you can put in the line out of the mixer and it will ride the gain going into the computer. It will go anywhere you like... :) JC
