Expanding circular table.
Made from cherry.Pedestal constructed to form an octagonal scalloped design. feet carved with a raised cherry leaf on curved faces and scrolls on each end.Thanks to Isabel for carving the feet.
The table was a great challenge, but very enjoyable to make

The table is a traditional design but no plans are available. I had to work it out for myself.

I also designed the pedistal.

Each leaf has a tongue and groove on each edge. The tongues lock the table in the open or closed position. Also the table runners have a rubber click lock system which keeps the table closed.
