This song was written in 1936 and recorded back then by Benny Goodman & his Orchestra with Helen Ward singing. A bunch of other bands did it too. Mr. Lymon was BORN in 1942. Unless he had a time machine and went back to 1936 and brainwashed Matty Malneck and Johnny Mercer (the actual writers of the tune), he could not have created the song.
