Second Life graphics - High Tech scene

This video ilustrates how the Second Life graphics can be good as others last generation games graphics.
Second Life uses a different technique of render in comparison with other games. The technique is a mixture of primitives polygons, texture and sculpty(a technique that transform 3D vertices into a texture).

it takes forever!!!! to load anything on that game

@SanguineBullet667 Click Ctrl+P, then with a basic configuration of internet speed settings in Network tab and the Draw Distance in Graphics tab you can make things load very faster. Velocity in SL depends more of configuration and the land where you are than the connection speed at all. I started with 300mb, then in 2008 my connection changed to 600mb, today my internet connection speed is 2MB(the most, the better). Important: Also check if your video card attends the minimum requirements!! :-D

i've argued with a few people over this! they keep saying the reason they didn't like SL was because they, "the graphics weren't good enough"

i try to explain to them it doesn't work that way, and they say they understand, but i really don't get that feeling... x.x
