  • Because it's more fun than watching from your chair and posting a negative opinion, "Stupid".

  • No offense, but all I see in theory is a mixture of shien/djem so and juyo. This is not shii-cho. Shii-cho is basic, step-by-step advancement, with wide sweeps. He uses it as if he were pushing back an attack and runs around with a series of erratic attacks. This is incorrect? Is it not?

  • For some reason this seems more like what I'd imagine Juyo to be like, very agressive.

  • i'm not trying to be mean or anything, but, these aren't the correct moves. These are moves you would use for choreography. You won't do this if you were actually fighting with lightsabers. If you REALLY wanna see how to duel with a saber, check out my instructional videos. :)

  • @Jensaarai1 Just to continue my own point a little bit further, while it is true that he is failing to demonstrate the true basics of Shii-Cho, he is demonstrating a level of effectiveness that a Shii-Cho master could aspire to and attain.

Have you not read The Cestus Deception; in the novel, Kit Fisto's swordplay is described as randomized and erratic, a description that I feel is matched perfectly by the duelist in this video.

  • @multuminparvo5 I disagree, what I see here closely resembles Kit Fisto's performance in the TCW episode Lair of Grievous. Fisto didn't do many wide sweeps in that fight, not even when he had the two blades.

  • Too agressive for shii cho swinging a lightsaber with that much force is barbaric. Learn control and more fluid movement too agressive for shii cho

  • It's sad living in the UK, I can't join you guys. :(

  • @AduneStormwind So you face many peole with lightdaber's eh?

    WTF!!

  • Out of all the forms I've tried, Soresu is my favoured form. Yes it's simple and somewhat dull to the eye. But it's simplicity and precision suit me best. I prefer not to fight and when I do, I do not start fights, I only finish them. So I'm usually on the defensive, which is probably why Soresu suits me best. But Shi-Cho is good to rely on when Soresu is inappropriate for what I'm faced with.

  • damn...lol, cool. ill join this jedi academy.

  • still one of my favorite lightsaber videos

  • @C15page thanks for the info dude where are you guys located?

  • @c15page Ohh the good ol sabre staff, first time i used i hated it was not wide enough for me. For example its a Japanese weapon that needs an upgrade for people who have wide shoulders. For example hold out your hands palms facing each other thats how much room you should have for both hands. Thanks for the info i will stick with kali and double broad sword defense, counter and easily turn into an offense quick.

  • @darkness442003 Actually, Saber Staffs are referred to by most as Double Bladed Lightsabers (As In, a lightsaber with two blades on it). But to answer your question, yes, we do have dual wielders in the class. Many of them use Escrima and Case (fencing) but ANY martial art that uses two can be applied.

  • @c15page Staff is not considered double blade i mean two swords being used instead of one. Plus staff is easy to master, i mean double sword action for example i fight with two chinese broadswords. Does anyone in this group does that?

  • @darkness442003 We have people who use staff, yes

  • really great, Kit Fisto is my idol :P

  • @oxysean wel shi-cho is not a lethal form at all it teaches its user to disarm its opponent rather than kill it

  • Any double blade stuff they teach?

  • i think i like shii-cho the best just because it's the easiest to understand, and although it's referred to as the most rudimentary, it looks lethal. what does the instructor keep looking at over his left shoulder, is it a monitor of some kind? a clock? a fight scene he's reenacting?

  • The Custom Saber Shop@Chratis if you want a custom lightsaber with better sounds, they got a sweet soundboard now. I'm also getting my custom lightsaber re-done with the new soundboard.

  • The instructor is good, but the style is not Shii-Cho.

  • I would love to duel, with you all. Good stuff.

  • No offense, but this looks more like Juyo. It just looks way to aggresive to be Shii-Cho. Again, not hatin'.

  • To anyone who thinks this is retarded, you are obviously ignorant of the fact that all the styles of swordplay used in lightsaber fights are based on legitimate real-world forms of melee combat. Would you call kendo retarded, or Krav maga? yes, they are fighting with giant glowsticks, but put a katana, or even a hardwood stick, in their hands, and they will FUCK SHIT UP!!!
