Graeme Swann to Ricky Ponting...

A fine fine example of offspin bowling , and stunning, especially when your name is not Muttaiah Muralidaran. Any offspin bowler would be well advised to note how drift and dip, a consequence of the insane number of revolutions on the ball that eventually resulted in massive turn managed to suck the batsman's hands into playing away from the body, resulting in the formation of a gate.

As Shane Warne said, if you beat a batsman in the air, you'll find it a lot easier to beat them off the pitch.

Edit: I've had to make commenting subject to moderation , I'm seriously tired of all the empty spaceheads who want to convert any clip into an exhibition of racism towards people of other nations, and regardless of their own nationality at that.

As I posted somewhere in the comments section already, the same ball would've been beautiful regardless of who the batsmen were, so why drag in the bowler's nationality or the teams involved here?

Swann is clearly the best spin bowler in the world at the moment...he can produce some unbelievable turn, and is always varying his flight. We've never seen a spinner like him in England...a true dangerman

Ponting's struggles against off spin bowling continues. He should never be included in the Tendulkar/Lara class. These two never had noticeable problems with any kind of bowling. They are class apart.

For all those people out there that hate Ricky Ponting, take a look at his press interview when he talks about England's 517-1. The guy smiles with respect. He appreciated the knock, and it showed. Sad day when he finally puts his bat away. Great batsman. His record speaks for itself.

@Scrib3d They weren't "semi doosras" they were arm-balls. Swann can't bowl the doosra because his action won't let him, he'd have to completely alter it. Vettori doesn't need a left-armed doosra because like Swann their variations come through subtle changes of flight, pace, trajectory and turn.
