Did we have a great time at Water Taxi Beach the second time around! The crowd was great and we even saw some regulars from Columbus 72 there dancing in the zone right in front of the band. Our own country sweetness La Dulsura del Campo tore up Linda Leida's Tuya Soy doing vocal octave jumps & pelting out staccato rhythmic verses that almost sounded like she was rapping. The crowd was sooo good, promoter Eddie Batiz got in the zone and, prefaced by the aroma of his cigar, grabbed my shoulders & gave me a kiss during that 3-part coro harmony for Tuya Soy messing up my wig! Then we segued right into Trucutru with Sammy Rosa bewitching the women & driving the dancers to frenzy before we got Dj Frank Swift to play w/ the band scratching to Aguanile. But we couldnt get it all on this video so we threw in a little piece of Cortijo y su Bonche's Pica y Pica to complete the front line diversity that is: Zon del Barrio! ¡Pa Gozar!
