The Thin Line Between Love and Hate [[chapter 3]]

Nick POV
Wow I dont know what her problem is. I was just trying to be friendly, but no. Oh well. Its her problem. I walked into the backyard to see Joe flirting with Kelsey. Typical.

Joe: so Kelsey. Do you want to come over for dinner tonight?

Kelsey: sure.

Kevin: you should bring your sister.

Kelsey: umm.

Nick: no. I dont want her coming over.

Kevin: Nick.

Kelsey: no its ok. She wouldnt come anyways, and she would ruin everything.

There was a minute of silence until Joe broke it.

Joe: So Kelsey, want to go for a walk?

Kelsey: sure.

Kelsey got up and turned to us.

Kelsey: do you want to go to?

Behind her Joe was doing the motion saying no.

Kevin: no were going to stay here.

Kelsey: Ok.

They walked off and left me and Kevin.

Kevin: wow shes pretty.

Nick: yeah she is.

Kevin: but typical that Joe is the one to go for her.

Nick: wait you like her?

Kevin: Do you?

Nick: Ive said like 5 words to her.

Kevin: well, I dont know. I think shes pretty, but- woah.

Nick: what?

Kevin pointed behind me and I saw a blonde with short hair coming into the backyard.

Kevin stood up.

Amy: hey Im Amy, you must be the new neighbors my mom was talking about.

Kevin just stood there speechless.

Nick: Im nick, and this here is our mute brother Kevin.

Kevin: s-sorry, Im Kevin.

Amy giggled, and shook his hand he held out.

Amy: arent you guys from that band my sister Kelsey loves? The Jonas Brothers?

Kevin: yeah, we are. Joe and Kelsey are just on a walk so you will meet him a little later.

I could hear the disappointment in his voice. He liked Kelsey, he thought Amy was beautiful, but still liked Kelsey, this would be interesting.

Joe and Kelsey came back 10 minutes later. Kevin smiled but his smile dropped at the sight of Kelsey and Joe holding hands.

Kevin: are you two together?

Joe: what? No.

They broke apart blushing.

Kevin: oh.

Amy: so Kevin, how old are you?

Kevin: Im 21.

Amy: oh cool.

Kevin smiled. Thats right Kevin. Pay your attention to Amy, because you wont be getting any from Kelsey because shes all googly eyes at Joe.

Joe: so Kelsey, we should go out some time.

Kevin turned back around.

Kevin: we should all hang out.

Kelsey: that would be awesome.

Joe glared at Kevin.

Joe: Kelsey, do you want to go to dinner with me? Tonight?

Kelsey: uh, sure! Yeah, Id love to!

Kevin: Amy you could come to my house for dinner.

Amy: good. Cuz Angela is still mad at me, and James and Collin are going to have some brother bonding time, so Id rather not be stuck with Angela.

Kevin smiled.

Nick: Well We should probably get going.

Joe: Kelsey, Ill pick you up at 6:00?

Kelsey: sure.

Joe: Great.

He smiled and gave her a hug. She so likes him. I can practically see her melting. We left and Joe wouldnt stop talking about Kelsey. I could tell Kevin was kind of bugged, but as soon as he spends time with Amy he will change his mind about Kelsey. I couldnt get Angela out of my mind. What was her problem? I mean she was beautiful, but has an attitude problem. Her blonde hair with pink highlights were different. She seemed different. But I cant think of her. She hates me. even though she doesnt know me.
