Yup - a cafe is your only defense. We had a bathroom redone early last year and it took weeks and weeks. We rewired the whole house and it only took a week including plastering all the holes they made.

@Blargaldalien this is karma. EX and I built a house a few years ago. Drove our neighbors nuts while we lived a mile away.
