LTTE airplane manufacturing plant found 18/02/2009

Troops of the 58th Division have detected an airplane manufacturing plant of the LTTE. The terrorists had destroyed it by setting the plant ablaze.
The Security Forces had found signs of airplane manufacturing plant although the fleeing terrorists had set this site on fire. It was located amidst houses of civilians in a mango grove to protect them from the Security Forces. Machinery used to cut and bend steel was also found. Troops of the 58th Division commanded by Brig. Shavendra Silva detected it. There were remnants of an airplane that had been assembled. It was not completely gutted by the fire. Three generators supplied power to the factory. There were hand books on the manufacture of aircraft with details of all components. It is suspected that a foreign experts assistance had been sought.
