March 15, 2010: Day 15: Ashira goes to Bireh to the Palestinian Consumer Rights day, where they focus of Boycotting Israeli products. Ashira talks to people who explain the importance of Boycotting. Then watches a Palestinian Folk Dance perform for the audience. In Gaza Nagham visits a Pottery factory and talks to workers in the factory about Pottery and clay and the process of turning it into Pottery.
I have a vase made at the Fakhoury pottery plant in Jerusalem (according to the label on the bottom). It was difficult to obtain. Other Palestinian items that I ordered at the same time have yet to arrive after six months. This is testimony to the difficulty of exporting from there. Yet, I can easily go to stores in the USA and buy Ahava and SodaStream products made by illegal Israeli factories on occupied land. This is an outrage. Join the BDS movement!
