M25 White Feather Sniper Rifle

This was my first time out at a shooting range and I warmed up with a .22 then shot a 17. cal. then shot the M25 Sniper Rifle.

And now about the man this Rifle is named after.




Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Norman Hathcock II (May 20, 1942 February 23, 1999) was a United States Marine Corps sniper with a service record of 93 confirmed kills. Hathcock's record and the extraordinary details of the missions he undertook made him a legend in the Marine Corps. His fame as a sniper and his dedication to long distance shooting led him to become a major developer of the United States Marine Corps Sniper training program. He has, in recent years, also had the honor of having a rifle named after him, a variant of the M21 dubbed the Springfield Armory M25 White Feather.

Nice rifle, but lose the shooting rest. All you're doing is hurting yourself. Learn how to shoot the right way first, then you only have to learn once.

I was trained by an X marine Sniper. I shoot prone don't worry. I like the rest, if I was super serrious about my shots yea I'd go prone but I am to lazy.

I like the M25. Try not to lift the weapons when you recycle the ammo. Keep it pointing at your target.

In your story about Gunnery Sergeant Hathcock, you didn't mention why its called a "whitefeather." Its because Hathcock wore a white feather in his hat while on tour in vietnam. This is also the name he was known by to the enemy.
