That didn't make much sense.
Please, do explain the reasoning. I've never quite understood the whole reasoning behind religious dogma invading everyone's definition of what happens after death, the creation of the universe, morals, and so forth.
Of course, it could always be because of manipulating people to gain power. But it just seems so... evil.

Wow, I wanted to take you seriously, but the whole time I was expecting you to ask why you dream of electric sheep in your sleep?
But, if I may answer a few with my opinion: Only a few religions believe only heaven or hell. Many believe in many levels of afterlife, reincarnation, etc. Blame poor marketing for THAT not being common knowledge. As for life's meaning, I don't think we WANT to know. Example: If flying is a hypothetical ULTIMATE sin, you wouldn't want to know if you need a plane
